Scott Edwards is the Senior Director of Marketing at Cumulus Networks. When he joined in late 2017, he was attracted to the unique impact he could make, filling a critical role at a truly transformative company. Working closely with the product management and marketing teams, he creates educational content that differentiates Cumulus Linux from proprietary networking hardware. Scott was the creator of “Networking with S.O.U.L”, generating tremendous brand recognition and highlighting our mission of bringing simple, open, untethered, and Linux-based networks to the enterprise. Additionally, Scott is energized sharing the impact our product has made on people, proclaiming, “We have some great stories of how the networking change has helped them, so let’s show people how great Cumulus is!”
As a content creator, Scott and his team are constantly bouncing ideas off each other, brainstorming new ways to engage the customer and generate excitement. Scott loves people who dive headfirst into testing an idea and will work passionately to see it succeed. Similarly, he aims to instill a sense of pride and ownership throughout his team, encouraging individuals to take the lead and bring product marketing to the next level. Outside of work, Scott spends most of his time with his family, attending sporting events like swim meets, soccer games, and dance practice. Sometimes he can get outside to ride his mountain bike or play volleyball, but admittedly with five children to care for, any hobby he used to have is pretty much out the window.
