The warranty policy described in this document applies to Cumulus Express products, and specifically to the hardware elements. The software warranty and support policy is covered by the other support policies, which are detailed in these documents:
This policy applies to Cumulus Express (CX) brand products sold by Cumulus Networks subsidiaries, affiliates, authorized resellers, or country distributors (referred to as "resellers"). The warranty period stated below supersedes and replaces the warranty period as stated in the user manuals for the relevant Products.
For fixed-configuration CX switches, the hardware warranty and return-to-factory for service or replacement period is three (3) years. At the time of purchase, an additional one (1) or two (2) years, for a maximum of five (5) years of hardware service may be purchased.
For modular or chassis-based CX systems, the hardware warranty and return-to-factory for service or replacement period is three (3) years. The period is the same for associated field-replaceable units (FRUs). At the time of purchase, an additional one (1) or two (2) years, for a maximum of five (5) years of hardware service may be be purchased.
For CX pluggables, cables, DACs, AOCs and transceivers, the hardware warranty is one (1) year.
The warranty period is effective on the date of purchase of the product from a Cumulus Networks reseller, which is maintained within Cumulus Networks systems and which can be confirmed upon request. If there is no proof indicating the purchase date, the manufacture date shall be considered as the beginning of the warranty period. The warranty extends only to the original end-user purchaser and is not transferable to anyone who obtains ownership of the product from the original end-user purchaser. This warranty and hardware service or replacement policy statement is only applicable on bare-metal hardware and pluggables. For software, please refer to software policies.
